Matryoshka May Day

Today is the first of May, and as promised, there's a free story for you to read. "The Matryoshka Affair" is a locked room murder mystery, featuring Ameriquetzlan ambassador and reluctant sleuth Ulrich Popoca and his partner-in-crime-solving, Countess (in-exile) Francesca Felluci. Click the link here or in the box to the right to read it. It'll only be available until the end of May, so get to reading!

In other news, yesterday was a day for submissions. So...many...submissions. Too, I wrote, edited and submitted a 5000 word daemon-mummy story ("The Unwrapping Party"), something which I do NOT recommend, even if you're as big a fan of daemon-mummies as I am.

Today is all about short story pitches and "Nestor Burma Goes West", which is not quite so stressful. And that's all I've got to say today, I think.

Daemon mummy? That sounds brilliant! Good luck.
