SHAKING THE SIX DEMON BAG: Six Extremely General Questions With Joel Jenkins

WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT’S YOUR DEAL?

A six string word slinger with a penchant for ginger beer.  Stories are revealed to me in strange and mysterious ways and it's my job to put them on paper.

WHAT’S YOUR CURRENT PROJECT?

I'm currently in the middle of the Brasilian rain forest fighting devil hounds slipping through the corners of alternate dimensions, and hanging with American Indian gunfighter Lone Crow, a bevy of unfortunate tribe members and a couple of scholarly types from Miskatonic University.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR INFLUENCES?

Pulp, Pulp, and Pulp.

WHERE CAN WE FIND YOUR STUFF?

Most of it is measured out in discreet quantities and sold furtively on street corners, however you can find my novels at PulpWork.com, Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com and other venues of dubious reputation.

WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU?

Huddled over a word processor, feverishly typing...or at JoelJenkins.com

INDULGE IN SOME SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION-WHAT SHOULD WE BE BUYING OR READING OR WATCHING OR LISTENING TO WITH YOUR NAME ON IT?

For sword and science fiction in the tradition of Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter of Mars check out my Dire Planet series—the fifth book, Lost Tribes of the Dire Planet, will be hitting the stands in March of 2012.

If your bag is heroic fantasy mixed with Lovecraftian and dystopian elements check out Escape from Devil's Head and Through the Groaning Earth.

Like vampires, werewolves and hardboiled detective fiction? Try Devil Take theHindmost.

Guns and guitars your thing?  Pick up TheNuclear Suitcase and The Gantlet Brothers Greatest Hits.

Want a book for your kids? The Pirates of Mirror Land is the ticket.

Or if you like the weird and way-out with a sci-fi edge feast your eyes on The SeaWitch.
